Brethren Disaster Ministries
Brethren Disaster Ministries, a program of the Church of the Brethren, restores hope for the most vulnerable disaster survivors by engaging volunteers to repair and rebuild storm-damaged homes, and by providing grants to support the disaster recovery efforts of faith-based partners. Spring Creek sends volunteers to assist with this ministry at least twice a year. To volunteer, contact the church office. Visit the Brethren Disaster Ministries website.
Brethren Volunteer Service
Brethren Volunteer Service (BVS) is a program that gives individuals a chance to advocate for justice, work for peace, serve human needs, and care for creation in a variety of settings in the United States and other countries. A number of members of Spring Creek have served or are currently serving in BVS. For more information visit the website.
Children’s Disaster Services
Children’s Disaster Services meets the needs of children by setting up child care centers in shelters and disaster assistance centers. Specially trained to respond to traumatized children, volunteers provide a calm, safe and reassuring presence in the midst of the chaos created by disasters. CDS also educates parents and caregivers on how to help children cope. Training is held in various locations throughout the country. For more information, see the CDS website.

On Earth Peace
The purpose of On Earth Peace, through religious and educational activities, is to empower people to discern the things that make for peace - in ourselves, within families, in our global environment, between nations - and to advocate peace and justice, seeking the realization of God's will on earth as in heaven.
