Administrative Assistant – Karen Breidenstine-Howe
In November 2014, after 14 wonderful years as a stay-at-home mom, Karen followed her calling to serve in the administrative office of Spring Creek. Growing up in the congregation, and with her dad as the pastor, Karen’s heart was pointed toward service at an early age, which led her all the way to a homeless shelter in the the Golden State to serve children and families through Brethren Volunteer Service. Her journey back to PA saw her running the headquarters of an international non-profit and managing the website content of a Fortune 500 company along the way, helping prepare her for getting things done in the office. But the real joy of her current vocation is time spent serving among the members of her home congregation and in the church she loves.
Karen and her husband Greg have been married for over 25 years and met while attending Juniata College. They are blessed with two children and cherish their family time together. The whole family enjoys traveling to new places, playing games, and family movie nights. Outside of work, Karen enjoys listening to music, reading, crafts, sewing, and being with family and friends.

In addition to church events, Michelle and Jon spend many hours with children and youth at swim meets, gymnastics meets, football games, soccer games, music concerts, Girl Scouts, and cross country and track meets. They also keep busy taking their Greater Swiss Mountain dog, Tobler, to dog shows.
Michelle was in youth and congregational ministry for 10 years before deciding to stay home and raise her own little congregation. She is thankful to be back in ministry among the best people she knows — teenagers!
